Crafted from a cotton-silk blend fabric, it showcases a unique collage of handblock print, enhanced by scattered multicolor floral embroidery for a striking, textured look. The combination of multi-technique and multi-color embroidery adds depth and dimension to this beautifully detailed piece.

Motifs inspired by the diverse floral elements of Amer were first translated into hand-drawn watercolor paintings. These designs were then meticulously adapted into hand-carved blocks, carefully considering the limitations of the medium. The play with negative-positive space, color separation, and outlining led to both singular motifs and intricate, multi-layered repeats. As many as 80 small and large wooden blocks were used to create pattern repeats for a single garment.
