A round neck,front open button-down dress featuring hand smocking detail on the bodice, beautifully crafted with multicolor threads. Made from a cotton-silk blend fabric , it showcases a hand block print border and all-over placement print. Each button is adorned with delicate thread work, and the dress comes with an attached hand-block printed kota lining.

Motifs inspired by the diverse floral elements of Amer were first translated into hand-drawn watercolor paintings. These designs were then meticulously adapted into hand-carved blocks, carefully considering the limitations of the medium. The play with negative-positive space, color separation, and outlining led to both singular motifs and intricate, multi-layered repeats. As many as 80 small and large wooden blocks were used to create pattern repeats for a single garment.
